HERBAL FARM SHARES

SO, WHAT IS AN HERBAL WORK TRADE?

Our Herbal Work Trade program is a monthly commitment of time in exchange for fresh, locally grown herbs to bulk up your home’s medicine cabinet. By becoming a member, you are signing up for an assortment of medicinal and culinary herbs full of vitality and flavor. In exchange we will host a monthly work event for 4 hours of time where we will weed, harvest and pack your herbs. This is a great opportunity for folks who are new to herbalism, or don’t have the space to grow what they need, but care deeply about the quality and care of their herbs.

WHAT DOES IT INCLUDE?

Through our Herbal Work Trade you will get 3-4 different herbs each month, about a 1/2 pound each of leafy herbs and 1/4 pound of flowers. This way you get to build relationship with 15+ herbs through the season, for your culinary and medicinal needs. We’ll provide plenty of information for storing your herbs, along with ideas and recipes to help process your goodies with ease. You will also have the ability to purchase fresh herbs that aren’t available to the public, from our extensive garden.

WHY JOIN THE FARM SHARE?

Connection is our key here. We believe our bond with the plants is an essential part of our herbal learning and growth. Being able to sit, tend and collaborate in community brings a layer that just buying dried herbs off the shelf misses entirely. With this work trade position we look forward to having great conversations, harvesting the highest quality of herbs and getting you some of our most unique (and difficult to source) varieties.

You will be joined in the field by two herbalists, so we can answer any questions that might come up, while also demonstrating correct preparation and techniques. We will also keep you in the loop with an email every month including our updates, what’s in your bag, and recipes to inspire your creations.
